№1Number one on the UK Albums Chart in its first week. Also number one on the US Top Dance Albums chart (62 on the Billboard 200); gold in the UK.
1998–2004Recording ran from September 1998 to April 2004. Liam did most of it alone, on a laptop in Reason. Producer Neil McLellan was there even earlier: he was the one who talked Liam into leaving his Essex studio and working in London. After Leeroy left, the band’s website stayed silent for over two years.
GallagherLiam Gallagher sings on Shoot Down and his brother Noel plays bass. Other guests include Juliette Lewis, Kool Keith, Twista, Princess Superstar and Ping Pong Bitches.

The video is by Mat Cook and Julian House, who also designed the album and single artwork, so picture and sound speak one language. It is the video for the album’s first single.
Directed by the South African Daniel Levi (per IMVDb and Wikipedia).
A group of Japanese children goes on a rampage: they wreck a car, take pills, beat up a policeman and lock him in a boot, kidnap a woman and trash an office until an anti-terror squad arrives.
Scandal. According to Wikipedia, Liam rejected this video over its violence, so it is considered not accepted by the band.
Romford Market, London. Filmed one scene at a time.
Several people race through the market blindfolded with their hands bound; one falls and drops out. Sharky reaches the finish first and takes the prize. Liam, Keith and Maxim watch from the side. It is based on a scene from the Spanish film Intacto, which is about luck and games of chance. The video first aired on 2 July 2005 at 3 a.m.
